Jeremy Evans may own the dubious distinction of being BFFs with Gordon Hayward, but he nonetheless remains one of the more popular players to come through Salt Lake City.

Evans’ greatest moment as a Jazzman probably came during All-Star Weekend 2012 when he electrified the Orlando crowd en route to winning the Slam Dunk Contest championship. It was a big moment for a Jazz fanbase that was still reeling from Jerry Sloan’s sudden retirement and the D-Will trade the previous season.

In the contest, Evans bested a field that included Paul George and captured the crown by donning a green Karl Malone throwback jersey throwing a hand behind his head in true Mailman fashion and slamming it home over comedian Kevin Hart.

If only he hadn’t been robbed in his bid for a second dunk contest title the following year.
