Utah Jazz: Ranking the team’s best-ever All-Star Weekend moments

8) Jeff Hornacek owns All-Star Saturday Night; February 12, 2000
The 2000 3-Point Shootout may not go down in history as one of the better iterations of the contest, but it was a big one for the Jazz and Jeff Hornacek. Really, it was the cherry on top of a great night for the soon-to-be-retired Jazzman.
To tip-off All-Star Saturday Night, Hornacek teamed with Natalie Williams of the WNBA’s Utah Starzz to take on the 2Ball Contest. For the non-oldies among us, 2Ball was the forerunner to the Shooting Stars Competition that ran from 2004-15.
In its humble beginnings as 2Ball, it featured NBA stars teaming with WNBA ballers to shoot from various spots on the court, each of which was assigned different point values. Hornacek and Williams put on a display in the contest; Horny hit six straight seven-point shots (from about 20 feet from the hoop) and the duo amassed 75 points to win it all.
Later, old No. 14 wrapped up the night by winning his second straight 3-point contest. There’s not a lot to write home about here — Hornacek only needed 13 points in the final round to win. Still, going back-to-back and also winning 2Ball was impressive.
