Hayden Van de Maat’s pick – Mike Conley

Long-time J-Noter Hayden Van de Maat would love to see the Jazz go all in for Mike Conley.

My dream trade for the Jazz involves bringing Memphis’ Mike Conley to Utah in exchange for Ricky Rubio, Thabo Sefolosha, Grayson Allen, a first-round pick and two second-round picks (and an additional low-salary player to make salary figures align). With the Jazz striving to make a deep playoff push, the Jazz’s first-round pick doesn’t hold much value in comparison to what teams like Detroit can offer. Hence, the two future second-round picks as sweeteners.

The Jazz will once again have stability at point guard, which has alluded them since George Hill’s departure, and the deal has potential to boost the Jazz a small step above the rest of the Western Conference, minus the Warriors.

If you hadn’t noticed, The J-Notes crew is pretty high on the potential of adding Mike Conley to the Utah Jazz ranks. The trade deadline is this Thursday, February 7th at which point all speculation will be resolved. Buckle up, Jazz fans, we could be in for a wild ride.
