Calvin Chappell’s pick – Mike Conley

J-Noter Calvin Chappell loves the fit of Mike Conley on both ends of the floor.

The Utah Jazz are dominant defensively. Offensively they are up and down. They have times when they look to have an unstoppable offense, but then they regress back to missing open shots. Mike Conley is a very consistent player. He is a rock for Memphis’ offense and defense. He can score from all three levels and is a willing and smart passer.

Conley rarely turns the ball over and always looks for the best play. He is also a solid individual and team defender. Basically, he is the perfect fit for Quin Snyder’s offense and defense. While his injury history is concerning, I consider it worth the gamble. Conley raises the ceiling of the Jazz far higher than it currently is.
