As the trade deadline draws near, the Utah Jazz should keep their eyes and ears open for opportunities involving these five small forwards.

When it comes to player needs for the Utah Jazz, the first two positions that typically come to mind are an upgrade in the backcourt alongside Donovan Mitchell and a playmaking four to take the place of Derrick Favors. As such, much of the rumors and speculation regarding the Jazz have to do with guards and power forwards.

Considering that the Jazz are in a pretty good spot at the small forward position with Joe Ingles owning the starting spot and a combination of Kyle Korver, Jae Crowder (when he’s not at the four) and Royce O’Neale covering the three-spot, it hasn’t exactly been viewed as a top priority for them in trade or free agency. Nevertheless, if the right opportunity were to present itself, the Jazz should certainly be open to looking to add to their ranks at small forward.

Therefore, I’ve compiled a list of five players at the small forward position that could potentially be available in trades and should at least be on Utah’s radar. While some of these guys can slide to the power forward position, I’ve tried to avoid putting the main stretch-four targets as they will likely be discussed in an upcoming piece here for The J-Notes.

Although small forward isn’t Utah’s top priority, these five guys are worthy of the consideration of Jazz brass.
