Week 13 is a perfect example of the Utah Jazz’s schedule beginning to ease up and level out, and they should therefore be able to capitalize in a big way.

Well, guys, the Utah Jazz finally did it. After looking more or less allergic to actually returning to a .500 record, the squad put it together and did just enough to return to a 20-20 mark on the year. Of course, in and of itself this isn’t that impressive of an accomplishment as the Jazz are still behind the eight-ball and have a lot of work to do. But the moxie that they showed against Detroit on Saturday made it evident that they at least appear close to getting back on the right track.

The Jazz went 2-1 last week, losing the week’s opener to the Toronto Raptors, though they showed some definite fight in that contest as well. Then the Jazz went on to use a second half surge to topple the Cleveland Cavaliers and fought hard to come back and stave off the Pistons. I was able to correctly predict the outcome of all three games meaning that I went 3-0 and have pulled a game ahead of the Jazz yet again as I sit at 21-19.

This upcoming Week 13 actually has a very similar feel to Week 12 in that it starts off with an extremely difficult foe – this time at Milwaukee to face the NBA-leading Bucks on Monday – but then it’s followed up by a set of games that all appear very winnable for the Jazz, especially considering that they’ll all be at home.

The nice thing is that this week the Jazz have three such bouts instead of just two as they had last week, setting them up nicely to go 3-1. Utah will face Orlando on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday and the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.

But will they actually pull that off? Let’s go ahead and take a deeper look at all four of Utah’s contests in the upcoming Week 13 to see just how they’re likely to fare.
