12/27 Utah vs. Philadelphia

8:30 pm MT – TNT

Opponent record: 22-12

Season series: 76ers lead 1-0

Two consecutive Jazz games on national TV? Boo-yah, baby! Not only will this week feature an important stint for Utah’s record, but it could also help them gain more national acclaim if they can perform well. That will require them to play much better than they have to start the year, though, as the Philadelphia 76ers are a force to be reckoned with.

They got the better of the Jazz in the first meeting, utilizing a strong first quarter and a sharp close to earn victory in Jimmy Butler’s home debut. Butler was impeccable with 28 points on 12-of-15 shooting and Joel Embiid did a lot of damage as well, putting up 23 points.

The Jazz will have to do a much better job against those guys as well as second-year phenom Ben Simmons if they hope to arise victorious. However, the Sixers have been somewhat Jekyll and Hyde this year, especially on the road where they’re just a dismal 6-9.

With all that adding up, and if Utah truly is righting the ship as they appeared to in Week 10, I like their chances of getting revenge in this one against the trash-talking Embiid and the controversial 2018 Rookie of the Year winner Ben Simmons.

My Prediction: Jazz Win

Final Score: Utah 98, Philadelphia 96
