Utah Jazz Week Eight Outlook: Can Jazz turn things around with brief home stand?

12/9 Utah at San Antonio

5:00 pm MT – AT&T SportsNet/League Pass

Opponent record: 11-12

Season series: Tied 0-0

Same team, different day. Oh, and a different court. The Jazz have surprisingly been better on the road, but San Antonio has also been much better at home. Not only that, but San Antonio’s style worries me somewhat as do Utah’s season-long inconsistencies.

Again, the Spurs are a very beatable team this year, and I ultimately think the Jazz are the better squad. However, until they show that they can execute consistently, I don’t feel comfortable picking them to come up big, especially in the hostile environment that is the AT&T Center. Though I like Utah’s chances of coming out on top at home, I believe San Antonio will earn a swift revenge on Sunday.

My Prediction: Spurs Win

Final Score: San Antonio 98, Utah 94

Next. Utah Jazz: Rudy Gobert really wasn’t feeling Wilder-Fury decision. dark

So, yeah, I’m predicting that Utah’s woes are only going to worsen as I have them at a 1-2 week. However, considering how bipolar they’ve been, I could just as easily see them going 3-0 as I could 0-3. And, of course, anything in between is a possibility as well.

This Jazz team has become unpredictable in the worst possible way. You just never know which team is going to show up. We’ll see shortly whether or not they can get back to less infuriating ways in Week Eight.
