The Utah Jazz get the first week of the 2018-19 campaign started with a two-game slate that features one of the worst and one of the best teams in the NBA.

The NBA season is officially back, ladies and gentlemen! And as a result, so are your weekly Utah Jazz previews and predictions, courtesy of yours truly! The Utah Jazz posted a perfect record in preseason and looked primed and ready for what should be an exhilarating 2018-19 campaign.

As the Jazz look to make waves in the Western Conference this year, I’ll aim to keep up by correctly predicting as many of their outcomes as possible. I went 47-35 in my projections last year, and just as the Jazz will aim to better themselves in both record and standing, I’ll be shooting for a better mark as well.

The Jazz kick off the 2018-19 regular season with a two-game slate that begins on Wednesday on the road in Sacramento, where the Jazz wrapped up preseason in statement fashion by destroying the Sacramento Kings. From there, the level of difficulty will ramp up exponentially as the Jazz will play in their home opener on Friday against none other than the defending champion Golden State Warriors.

Talk about two contests that will be night and day in just about every way. Nevertheless, hopefully Utah can continue to display their electrifying offense from preseason to dominate the Kings once again and challenge the Warriors who remain the favorite to take home the title at the end of the year.

With that stage set, without further ado, let’s take a look at both contests in the opening week of the Utah Jazz’s 2018-19 campaign and try to predict how they’ll fare.
