A trio of Utah Jazz standouts, Donovan Mitchell, Royce O’Neale and Georges Niang, were in attendance at Saturday’s Utah State football game.

With Utah Jazz media day set for Monday and the start of training camp getting underway right after that, it won’t be long until the players are flung headlong into the grind of the 2018-19 NBA season. The Jazz in particular have their sights set on some high goals for the upcoming year as they hope to pick up where they left off to conclude last regular season and improve from there to earn a top seed in the West.

But prior to the grueling campaign getting underway, a trio of Jazzman were out enjoying their final weekend before things turn to all business. I’m of course referring to Donovan Mitchell, Royce O’Neale and Georges Niang who were all on-site for the Utah State football game against Air Force on Saturday evening.

The trio was given a sweet experience as each was decked out with their own custom Aggie jersey and they got to enjoy the game from the sidelines right by the raucous USU student section known as The Hurd. Check out just a few of the collection of photos chronicling their night below–

The boys were there for a good one as USU was able to open Mountain West Conference play with a nice win over a tough Air Force squad by a score of 42-32. They seemed to enjoy themselves as well based on the slew of positive messages they left on social media–

More than anything, it’s cool to see these Jazzmen extending their outreach to the passionate Jazz/Aggie fans up north. In one short year, Donovan Mitchell has done more to bring the state of Utah together than any player has in a long time. Hopefully they can make the trip to Logan an annual tradition to continue to show the love and support for USU and the loyal Jazz fans residing in lovely Cache Valley.

It’s early and optimism is high, but Utah Jazz looking good so far. dark. Next

And as sharp as Donovan, Royce and Georges all looked in their matching Aggie whiteout uniforms, I’m even more stoked to see them hit the hardwood in their Utah Jazz threads. Each has put in a significant amount of work this offseason, and seeing how it all pays off as the team comes together is going to be an absolute thrill.

Their first preseason game tips off on September 29th at 7:00 PM against the Perth Wildcats of the Australia’s NBL.
