Utah Jazz: New throwback jerseys revealed for 2018-19 season
The newest Utah Jazz uniforms have officially been revealed! The throwback purple never looked so good as it does on the 2018-19 squad.
Utah Jazz fans have known for a while that they should expect to see purple throwback jerseys this upcoming season. Well, good news, Jazz fans. The day you’ve been waiting for is finally here. Those jerseys have been revealed.
Some Jazz fans may be disappointed to learn that they aren’t the mountain-themed jerseys that the likes of John Stockton and Karl Malone donned back in the day. Instead they more closely resemble the prior rendition with the classic J-Note Jazz logo, the same one that has been used by the team for the last few years.
Check them out for yourself via the images below from the social media accounts of Ricky Rubio, Jae Crowder and Rudy Gobert.

I don’t know about you, Jazz fans, but I think they look awesome! I am partial to the mountain look, but sticking with the classic logo and style is great as well. And bringing back the throwback purple is the most exciting part. It’s been quite a while since purple was a standard Utah color, and it’s nice to see it back on the Salt Lake City squad.
And I mean, come on, if Ricky Rubio’s happy, as you can clearly see he is in the picture above, how can we not be happy, right?
The Jazz were already looking pretty sharp last year with their new Nike threads that, along with the classic blue and white, also included the first ever gold Jazz jersey as well as the bold and daring city jerseys designed to reflect Utah’s red rocks and gorgeous sunsets.
That’s quite the collection to showcase, and it will be even better now with these purple beauties thrown into the mix.
Even more exciting is the fact that this isn’t the last new Jazz jersey we’ll see this year as the squad is set to get another that they’ll reportedly debut at the Christmas Day game. They’ll then be able to utilize those jerseys in other contests after that fact.
As the old saying goes, ‘look good, feel good’. Between the already existing collection, the new purple threads and the Christmas jersey that has yet to be revealed, the Utah Jazz should be feeling great throughout the 2018-19 season.
Let’s hope that translates over to their play as well in what should be a thrilling year where they battle for a top spot in the West. It won’t be long until we find out how they’ll fare, as the regular season gets underway in less than a month.
