Chapter Two

Some consider Ekpe Udoh to be a cult hero in Turkey. That sums up how awesome of an experience it was for him. During the summer of 2015, Udoh signed a one-year contract with Fenerbahçe, a club in Turkey. His first season with the team was very successful. He helped Fenerbahçe win the Turkish cup and the Turkish League Championship. He also led his team to the 2016 EuroLeague Final Four, but came up short.

Ekpe quickly re-signed with Fenerbahçe during the summer of 2016. This time around, he led the team to winning the EuroLeague Championship. He also was named an All-Star, and won another Turkish League Championship. Now you can see why Ekpe was, and still is, so loved in Turkey. He had an enormous amount of success and embraced the Turkish culture.

Through those two years in Turkey, Udoh averaged 12.3 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game. Udoh’s impressive run led to an NBA comeback in 2017, with your very own Utah Jazz.
