Statement

The NBA’s Statement uniforms are pretty much teams’ alternate jerseys, but with a bit more flair. It’s called statement for a reason. The Jazz made a statement, unveiling a brand new gold color that covers the jersey. Gold is an iconic color in basketball. The Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors attest to that.

Despite every team wearing their Statement uniforms a little later into the season, Utah’s gold nearly beat their Association jersey. The Jazz wore the gold 21 times during the regular season, and four times during the playoffs.

“Gold Outs” are always very epic. That’s when a team wears their gold jerseys in the playoffs, and has a gold t-shirt on every single seat in the arena for the fans to wear. Game 6 against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the playoffs showed how epic they are. The Jazz eliminated OKC while wearing their Statement jerseys. Donovan Mitchell scored 38 points in maybe the most memorable game of the year.
