Donovan Mitchell will be sporting some sweet new Adidas sneakers when he suits up for the Utah Jazz this upcoming 2018-19 season.
Although Utah Jazz fans are all highly anticipating the day that Donovan Mitchell gets his own signature line of shoes, it appears they’ll have to wait a little longer. However, we now know what kind of kicks the rising Jazz star plans to don for the upcoming 2018-19 season.
According to a report from the Deseret News’ Eric Woodyard, Donovan will be sporting the new Adidas Pro Bounce and Mad Bounce models which were introduced on Tuesday.
You can check out a few images of the shoes in the tweet below, and even more if you visit the link to the Deseret News story–

Donovan Mitchell sported plenty of sweet kicks last season, including some customs that Adidas made for him. He’s certain to have some awesome varying color schemes and themes this upcoming season as his popularity and prowess continue to rise, but even these more plain models look pretty rad.
Adidas also became known for providing Donovan Mitchell with his iconic ‘Rookie?’ gear that was both promoting his own fantastic first-year career as well as poking fun at controversial rookie Ben Simmons.
Between the shoes and the sweet gear, it’s apparent that Mitchell and Adidas have a strong relationship, and I’d imagine it’s only a matter of time before we see him get his own shoe line with them, much like one of his idols, Damian Lillard, whose sneakers Mitchell sported last season.
For now, though, he’ll be one of a number of NBA standouts donning the newest Adidas models. According to the aforementioned Deseret News report, the other players that will be wearing the Pro Bounce and Mad Bounce models include Kristaps Porzingis, Candace Parker, Zach LaVine, Kyle Lowry, Brandon Ingram, Jaylen Brown, Nick Young, Thon Maker, Jamal Murray, Kelly Oubre Jr. and Chiney Ogwumike.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the shoes and am excited for Mitchell’s future sneaker game with Adidas. However, at this point I’m so excited to see him hit the court that he could be out there in clogs, flip flops or Crocs for all I care! I just want to see him in action!
Obviously I’m being facetious with such a comment, the last thing we’d need is a Mitchell injury due to poor shoes. However, the message is clear – Donovan Mitchell’s sophomore season should be awe-inspiring, and I’m beyond ecstatic to see him and his Jazz teammates hit the floor once again.
The shoe update is great news as Donovan continues to be a renowned poster child of Adidas. As his skills and popularity grow, he could very well develop into one of the more prolific athletes they’ve partnered with.
