San Antonio Spurs

  • ’17-18 Record: 47-35
  • ’17-18 Season Series: 3-1 (Jazz)
  • ’18-19 Advantage: Jazz

I’m really eager to see the San Antonio Spurs this upcoming season. I do think they are a playoff caliber team, but I’m interested to see how they work around the massive shooting woes that the roster currently has.

Against a team like Utah, you’re already going to have a tough time scoring in the paint with Rudy Gobert protecting the rim. They have some shot creators in DeMar DeRozan and Rudy Gay that are going to have a lot of pressure to score and create opportunities.

Gregg Popovich is amazing, obviously. Any team coached by him is a threat, but I do think he is going to have some challenges with this roster. I feel like Utah matches up really well against San Antonio. The Spurs are one of the more interesting teams out there right now.
