Indiana Pacers

  • ’17-18 Record: 48-34
  • ’17-18 Season Series: 1-1
  • ’18-19 Advantage: Neutral

It’s amazing how the Indiana Pacers and the Jazz both lost All-Star players in Paul George and Gordon Hayward, but went on to win 48 games and exceed all expectations. Indiana gave Cleveland a fight in the first round of the playoffs, while the Jazz made another second round trip.

In 2018-19, both teams will have much higher expectations. They are both projected to finish towards the top of their respective conferences, and both have the talent to make deep postseason runs.

If I had to make a prediction, I sense another split in the season series between these two teams. I can’t tell you which team is better, but I can tell you that they are powerhouses, regardless of what the national media says.

They only meet twice per season, but those meetings should be really fun games. These are two teams that you must keep an eye on right now and in the future.
