The Utah Jazz have set themselves up to be big players in free agency in 2019, and we’ll go over five players that they could target.

Dennis Lindsey and the Utah Jazz have done a fantastic job over the last two off-seasons to ensure the team has maximum flexibility going forward. All of that hard work is likely going to come to a head during the 2019 NBA off-season.

This next season is looking to be a great one, and the Jazz should be able to compete at a high level, even in a loaded Western Conference. My J-Notes colleague Jared Woodcox even went so far as to say they are an absolutely lock to make the playoffs. “Mark my words, the Jazz will be back in the postseason for a third straight year in 2018-19.”

One of the primary reasons I am confident the Jazz will make the playoffs this year is because of internal growth and continuity in the roster. By simply running it back from last year, they are putting themselves in a great spot to succeed.

After next season though? We could see a lot of potential turnover.

The Jazz have signed contracts to ensure that they have maximum flexibility heading into this next off-season. After the 2018-19 campaign, Derrick Favors, Ricky Rubio, Alec Burks, Thabo Sefolosha, Ekpe Udoh and Raul Neto could all be off the team. The odds of every one of those players being gone is slim, but the chance is still there.

There are some intriguing players that will become available this next off-season that the Jazz may look to target, and based on who they go after, this team could look very different. So let’s take a way too early look at who those players may be!
