Donovan Mitchell

I know, I know. No surprise here, right? But after all he accomplished last year, how could I possibly leave him off the list?

Mitchell took the entire league by storm in 2017-18, surpassing the 20-point per game mark as a rookie to lead all fellow first-year players in scoring as well as his Utah Jazz team. That average increased even further in the postseason. The question now – can he take yet another leap in his sophomore season?

The Jazz will certainly need him to and I definitely believe he can. Putting up 23 to 24 points per game on average is definitely within Donovan’s reach, especially considering the important role he has had and will continue to have for this Jazz team moving forward.

Not only that, but he was essentially a human highlight reel for the Jazz last year with his clutch threes, dazzling dunks and mind-blowing finishes. His rookie highlights are more impressive than that of several players who have been in the league for years.

And I can’t wait to watch him add to that in major fashion this upcoming season.
