Ricky Rubio

Ricky Rubio‘s case is different. He doesn’t start drama with other players. He just does his job, keeps his head down and tries to help his team win. For whatever reason, though, Rubio was the recipient of some altercations last season for the Jazz.

He got into it with Jimmy Butler early on in the year against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Then, he got into it with Jeff Teague in a game later on that season, a game in which Butler did not play. Butler was still involved, though, throwing balls of shade at Rubio using his fingers via Twitter.

Then, the most infamous skirmish Rubio was involved in last season was against the Phoenix Suns. Jared Dudley gave a hard, unnecessary foul on Rubio. Ricky immediately took exception. Marquese Chriss leaped off the ground, where he was after air-balling a dunk, and shoved Rubio to the ground from behind. The worst part is, Rubio hurt his knee during the altercation and missed some games.

So, one last thing we can take away from the Utah Jazz potentially leading the league in altercations next year is this: It could be good, it could be bad. One thing’s for sure, it will be entertaining to watch. The Utah Jazz should be one of your NBA League Pass favorites for the potential fireworks among players alone.
