Royce O’Neale will become a prolific 3-point threat

I’ve said it before about Royce O’Neale, but I’ll mention it once again. He has the tools to be a prolific 3-&-D player, but for now, the “D” is incredible but the “3” is quite lacking. Though he was helpful to the Jazz in a number of ways, shooting just 35.6 percent from three just didn’t quite cut it.

Fortunately, I’m predicting that we’ll see a massive leap from him in that regard next year. Now that O’Neale doesn’t have the pressure of just making the team this summer, he’s likely focused solely on improving his game in the areas that the Jazz most need. And one of those is 3-point shooting.

With a strong familiarity with Utah’s system and an awesome offseason of work, I think it’s completely feasible to see Royce crack the 38 percent mark this upcoming year. If he does so, he’ll be an incredible weapon for the Jazz and officially become one of the more coveted 3-&-D players in the league, particularly considering his steal of a contract.
