Naz Mitrou-Long was one of the more consistently impressive players for the Utah Jazz Summer League team, averaging roughly 10 points, four rebounds and four assists, while shooting 59 percent from the floor. That production earned the 6’4″ shooting guard out of Iowa State a two-way contract on the Utah Jazz.

Naz was actually signed to a two-way contract last season with the Jazz on December 23rd, and played extremely well in his time with the Salt Lake City Stars, averaging 18.0 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.2 steals in 35.0 minutes per game. He also has the team’s all-time high in points, with 37.

During the Summer League he played an effective role with his ability to play both on and off the ball. He can create for himself and others, and that was indicative by his 4.7 assists in Utah, and 3.5 assists while playing in Vegas.

While his all-around game is terrific, his most impressive ability is likely his shooting. Naz has good form and a quick release. Last year with the Stars he shot an impressive 38 percent from three on a whopping nine attempts per game. In his seven Summer League games, Naz was the fifth leading scorer for the Jazz.
