The Utah Jazz Summer League is in the books, so it’s time to evaluate who were the best performers on the roster, and who may have a role with the Jazz in the future.

The Summer League has always been one of my favorite times of the off-season because it gives us the first opportunity to see some of the more highly-touted rookies, while also allowing us to see how far the tenured players have been able to progress and grow their games.

This is the perfect time of the year to make wild accusations and assumptions about young players who have only played a handful of games. We proclaim players to be everything from future Hall of Famers to busts who will never be able to make it in this league.

This year we’ve already seen players who have outplayed their draft positions and are making the teams that passed on them look silly. Wendell Carter Jr., Kevin Knox, and Shai-Gilgeous Alexander were lottery picks who are already looking like they should have gone earlier. Meanwhile, a guy like Trae Young is already raising concerns among Atlanta Hawks fans who are hoping not to regret the Luka Doncic trade for years to come.

The Utah Jazz will have their own questions to answer, as players like Tony Bradley, Grayson Allen and Georges Niang look to work their way into an NBA rotation. Now that the Summer League is over, it is a good time to evaluate how the young guns did, and see if any of them have a chance to make an impact for this Jazz team.

With that in mind, we’ll rank the top five performers for the Jazz during this year’s Summer League.
