The return of Utah’s great chemistry and cohesion
Some Jazz fans have been disappointed by the fact that the team hasn’t made any major roster changes this offseason. Some hoped Utah would aim to make a splash by adding a playmaking stretch-four in free agency or perhaps trading some talent away to land an available big fish.
However, Dennis Lindsey and the rest of Jazz brass have remained consistent in their message for the upcoming season. They’re going to give the team that played so well to end last year a chance to run it back. In other words, they have faith in the talent and projected growth of the already existing squad and we’re going to get to see them have another go this year.
And if you ask me, that’s absolutely a reason for excitement. This team was one of the most entertaining to watch in the league due largely to their incredible chemistry and cohesion. The team simply liked one another and it showed in nearly every aspect of their play. The passion and excitement they had to hit the court with one another was fun to watch, easy to cheer for and made them perform extremely well.
I was thrilled to cheer for that kind of team last season and am beyond stoked for the opportunity to do so again. The Jazz didn’t have a flashy offseason, but they had a prudent one. And I can’t wait to continue rooting for a team that has worked its way so far into the hearts of its fans.
