In the early hours of free agency, several potential Utah Jazz targets were quickly snatched up by opposing teams across the league.

Free agency is officially upon us! Even before the clock struck midnight Eastern Time on July 1, Woj bombs and Shams missiles already came dropping down upon us right and left to spread the news of who was signing where.

Of course, the biggest domino yet to fall is LeBron James, whose decision is sure to send shock waves throughout the league. Some believed that free agency would stall somewhat until he had come to the conclusion of where he was going to sign, but that apparently wasn’t true as a number of signings were announced in the early hours of free agency.

Among those earlier signings were a slew of guys that may or may not have been specific targets for the Utah Jazz, but certainly would have been good fits if the Jazz had wanted to pursue their services. Several of them were options that we had discussed in detail here on TheJNotes.com as guys the Jazz may or should go after.

But, alas, many are already off the table. Here’s a quick run-down of said players–
