Frye is a career 39 percent 3-point shooter, which is something the Jazz could desperately use, even if it’s just in spot minutes off the bench. He would also bring a wealth of experience to the table; he’s played over a decade in the league and helped the Cleveland Cavaliers win the NBA title in 2016.
Just as Boris Diaw did a couple years ago, he could come in on a short-term deal and provide mentorship, veteran presence and smart, solid basketball work for a Jazz team on the rise.
