Utah Jazz drop full 2018 NBA Summer League schedule

The Utah Jazz will tip-off summer league play against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, July 2 at Vivint Smart Home Arena.

The 2017-18 NBA season reached its conclusion less than one week ago when the Golden State Warriors completed their title bid with a sweep of LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. However, the Utah Jazz have been on their summer vacation over a month at this point.

As such, hardcore hoop-heads in the Salt Lake Valley are already craving their next Jazz fix. Thankfully, the team will take the court at Vivint Arena in just a few weeks time for summer league play.

To that end, the Jazz officially announced their full NBA Summer League slate on Tuesday.

In other words, we now know when Luka Doncic will make his Jazz debut after the team trades into the top three of the 2018 NBA Draft on June 21 and picks him.

Also — ‘Bron to Utah! Amirite?

In all seriousness, the team will begin by hosting the Utah Jazz Summer League once again, opening play on Monday, July 2 at the Viv against the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs are the only returning squad from recent years; the dearly departed Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers will be replaced by the Atlanta Hawks and Memphis Grizzlies, respectively.

In addition to getting a first look at the team’s actual pick at No. 21, the fans should see some of the 2018 class’ top prospects. The Hawks and Grizz each own selections in the top four.

After the three-game Jazz Summer League wraps up on Thursday, July 5, Utah will join the rest of the league in Las Vegas for the MGM Resorts NBA Summer League. They’ll tip things off there against the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday, July 7.

Following another three-game series, tournament play will run from July 11-17.
