#5 – Landry Shamet

This one may be considered somewhat under the radar, but I absolutely love the idea of the Jazz looking at Wichita State product Landry Shamet. It’s no secret that the Jazz need shooters in order to open up the floor and become more dangerous offensively in the modern NBA. Shamet would provide Utah with exactly that.

Shamet was a deep-ball threat extraordinaire during his time as a Shocker, converting on a whopping 44.2 percent of his threes in his final season on nearly six attempts per game. He has a gorgeous shooting stroke that figures to only get more deadly, especially if groomed by Utah’s phenomenal player development system.

On top of his shooting, Shamet is an underrated athlete who carries himself extremely well on and off the floor. All indications are that he’d be an exceptional character fit with the Jazz and a determined worker that would bring effort, focus and energy night in and night out.

Shamet may not be the most enthralling prospect of this bunch, but he shoots the three and shoots it extremely well. If the Jazz aim to focus on making that a major emphasis to bring into their ranks, they wouldn’t go wrong by selecting the Wichita State standout.
