1) The Game 6 win over OKC

When asked by Kristen Kenney during an end-of-season interview what his greatest moment of the year was, Donovan Mitchell gave an answer that’s probably common to most of Jazz Nation — his squad’s series-clinching Game 6 win over the Thunder.

Said Mitchell —

"Game 6, probably. Winning the playoff series against a team like that was crazy. People said we weren’t going to make the playoffs — we did that and won. You know, we weren’t supposed to win. That was a huge game. Game 6 is one of the bigger… probably the biggest accomplishment of the team this year."

For me, that was the moment the Jazz officially shed the Hayward stuff. By beating OKC, they equaled the Hayward-led Jazz of ’16-17 with another second-round series and did so in more convincing fashion against what was arguably a better team.

Now, the team’s future looks brighter than it has in a decade.
