Nemanja Bjelica
In a lot of ways, Nemanja Bjelica is kind of a one-trick pony, but he’s really good at that trick. He’s an assassin from deep, shooting 41.5 percent from behind the arc. In the Minnesota Timberwolves’ first-round playoff series against the Houston Rockets, he shot an incredible 57.1 percent.
His defense (or lack thereof) is a little concerning, but as a shooter off the bench, he could be extremely valuable. The Jazz could certainly use the floor-spacing he would provide and his threat from deep could help jump-start their offense. Not only that, but I feel like his defense isn’t hopeless and that Quin Snyder and Co. could help him make strides in that regard.
Bjelica hails from Serbia, and considering that the Jazz have put together a melting pot of international players, he could find himself feeling right at home with this Jazz roster. He is a restricted free agent and was only making just under $4 million this past year, but considering some of the hefty contracts on Minnesota’s books, the Timberwolves may be willing to let him walk in free agency.
If they do, the Jazz should certainly consider adding the dangerous deep-ball threat to their roster.
