Luc Mbah a Moute

Of all the players on this list, Luc Mbah a Moute is probably the least “under-the-radar”. Part of that is because he has played on some high profile teams, but more than that, he’s built a reputation as a solid defender. Dennis Lindsey’s goal heading into the 2017-18 season was to build a team that made opponents feel like they were visiting the world’s worst dentist. Mbah a Moute’s lock-down D would only further that experience.

Not only that, but he’s become a much-improved 3-point shooter and his versatility as a three or four would be extremely valuable for the Jazz. He only made just over $2 million this past year, but his play with the Houston Rockets could very well have him in for a decent pay raise.

And as an unrestricted free agent, he may be apt to pursue more money than what Houston could pay him. Therefore, the Jazz should certainly keep tabs on what could be a savvy pickup for them to help bolster their already daunting defense.
