Joe Ingles

Joe Ingles’ contract was the subject of some distress among Utah Jazz fans last summer. However, after an incredible year, I’m pretty sure it’s clear now that he earned every penny. He’s surprisingly the third-highest paid Jazzman, but with a contract that decreases each year, he’ll become more and more of a bargain with each passing season.

As a knock-down three-point shooter and a solid perimeter defender, Ingles is an absolute commodity for the Jazz, the likes of which is rare and highly sought after across the NBA. Factor in his undying loyalty to the organization and how much the Jazz have come to love what he brings to the table and he’s another guy that I don’t see going anywhere.

Once again as I said in the instance with Rubio, if Ingles were a required piece in some monumental trade that made the Jazz significantly better, the Jazz may feel forced to deal him. But that’s highly unlikely on all accounts. Ingles has endeared himself to this franchise, and between a highly valuable skill set at a favorable rate, don’t count on the Jazz having any intentions of parting ways with him.

Verdict: Not quite untouchable, but pretty dang close
