The Fesenko goes to… Rodney Hood.

I definitely didn’t see this one coming.

After Gordon Hayward bolted for Beantown last summer, it was more or less preordained that Rodney Hood would become the go-to guy for the Jazz. The team even sent Johnnie Bryant to run him through the same regimen that helped Hayward become an All-Star last season to prepare him for top billing.

It’s a role he never really got a handle on. Instead, he was supplanted in the starting five by Mitchell, after which he got mopey and became determined to find new digs.

Now, he’s gone from having what looked to be a career year in Utah to being the fifth option in the Cleveland Cavaliers offense and something of an afterthought.

Ouch.
