The Utah Jazz managed to grind out a gutsy Game 2 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder despite showing some weaknesses that they’ll need to clean up moving forward.
Whenever a team comes away with a W, especially in the playoffs, it’s hard to get too nit-picky. The mantra ‘survive and advance’ certainly applies as teams look to simply stay afloat and earn victory in whatever way possible. A long best-of-seven series requires several adjustments and is typically a grueling chess match between the two teams.
So while it doesn’t benefit anyone to get too hung up on things that went wrong when the result was ultimately a win, it’s still important to take those negatives and look to clean them up moving forward. Opposing teams will certainly do that along with aiming to capitalize on any perceived weaknesses among their foes that they’ve been able to pick up on.
As such, although the Utah Jazz were able to orchestrate a masterful road win in Game 2 of their first-round series against the Oklahoma City Thunder, there were certainly also some areas of concern that they’ll need to fix if they hope to maintain home court advantage and outmatch a star-studded opposing squad.
And the first of those involves the continued struggles of Joe Ingles on the offensive end.
