Utah Jazz rookie Donovan Mitchell’s meteoric rise from middling draft pick to superstar in the making is the subject of an upcoming docu-series.

This Donovan Mitchell kid is kind of a big deal, eh? And not just for battling Ben Simmons in the most relevant Rookie of the Year race in recent memory either. He’s also leading the Utah Jazz back into the heart of the Western Conference playoff race. Not to mention the fact that he’s just weeks removed from a Slam Dunk Contest win at NBA All-Star 2018.

This week, Mitchell added the distinction of being just the second Jazzman (after Deron Williams) to grace the cover of SLAM magazine to his reel. So, what’s up next for Utah’s first-year phenom? Try a 15-part docu-series chronicling his meteoric rise from “dude who almost skipped the NBA Draft” to bona fide star.

Young Hollywood, a digital production firm known for creating video content covering celebrity and lifestyle topics, has officially announced the release of “Rookie On The Rise,” a digital documentary series about Mitchell and his pro hoops journey.

The aim is to offer a behind-the-scenes look at Mitchell’s rise to stardom. It will feature interactions with his inner circle, as well as candid interviews with the former No. 13 overall pick.

YH released a trailer for the series featuring clips of Mitchell and his family from All-Star Weekend on Thursday —

The short-form series, which will be composed of two to five-minute episodes, is scheduled to premiere April 3. Three episodes will drop every Tuesday throughout the series’ 15-episode run.

Episodes of Rookie On The Rise will be available on Young Hollywood TV, YH’s over-the-top network. Fans can find the network on Apple TV, Amazon Channels, Amazon Fire TV, Chromecast and Roku.

The series will also air via Facebook Watch, YoungHollywood.com, and YH’s YouTube, Twitter and other social channels.
