Make that nine wins in a row on the road for the Utah Jazz as Rudy Gobert and company picked up an impressive 104-84 win in Indiana.

Tonight’s contest against the Indiana Pacers was a very important game for the Utah Jazz. As we approach the end of the regular season, every game is so crucial to their playoff chances. Tonight, the Jazz beat a top-four Eastern Conference team, and look forward to a favorable schedule to end the season.

Indiana came into tonight’s game hot. They had won three in a row, and nine of their last ten at home. They are hoping to secure a top-four seed and earn home court advantage come playoff time.

Rudy Gobert continued his dominant play, racking up 23 points and 14 rebounds in 38 minutes. He did struggle at times to guard Myles Turner, who burned the Jazz in pick-and-pop situations all night long.

Overall, though, Gobert was incredible. He continues to show his improved offensive game, and it is simply amazing how much of a difference Gobert makes when he is healthy and not in street clothes on the bench.

Utah got strong play from just about everyone tonight. Ricky Rubio was knocking down shots, Jae Crowder provided a spark off the bench and Donovan Mitchell had yet another 20-point game. The Jazz were clicking on all cylinders and came away with a key win.

Three-point shooting made a big difference in this game. Utah knocked down 11-of-31 from downtown, while Indiana hit just 3-of-23. Ball movement led to some open looks for the Jazz, and they did a good job of simply making shots tonight.

Utah also did a great job defensively. Indiana is a team that likes to run in transition and get easy baskets, but the Jazz were excellent at getting back and setting up their suffocating half-court defense.

The Jazz will be back in action in Memphis on Friday night. The Grizzlies are losers of 14 in a row, and it will be a great opportunity for Utah to get another road win.
