Key #3 – Hold Bogdanovic in check

The Sacramento Kings may have a long way to go before they’re anywhere remotely close to competitive, but they do have a couple of encouraging guys on their young roster. Perhaps one of the foremost among such players is the recently named Rising Stars MVP winner Bogdan Bogdanovic.

Bogdanovic has seen his role steadily increase throughout the season and of late he’s been on an absolute tear. He’s the Kings leading scorer in their last four games at 17.3 points on 45 percent shooting from the field and 40.9 percent shooting from beyond the arc. If Utah hopes to accomplish Key #2 and hold the Kings in check from deep, they’ll need to start by keeping a close eye on Bogdanovic.

The rookie out of Serbia has certainly had his ups and downs this season, as should be expected, but when he’s been on, he’s most certainly been dangerous. The Jazz have drastically more talent overall than the Kings, but if they lack the focus necessary to execute their game plan and prevent a guy like Bogdanovic from going off, this could turn into a disappointing upset loss for them.

The Kings are coming into this game off of a day of rest, so they’ll be fresh and prepared to take on a potentially fatigued Jazz team. With that being the case, Utah can’t get complacent, especially against the streaking Bogdanovic.
