The Utah Jazz will look to begin a new winning streak as they visit the Sacramento Kings this evening.
It wasn’t always pretty, but the Utah Jazz found a way to get it done last night against the Minnesota Timberwolves despite a physical and at times sloppy contest between the two teams. Utah got away with committing 18 turnovers and shooting just 31 percent from the three-point line in their 116-108 victory over the shorthanded Wolves who were without the injured Jimmy Butler and lost Karl-Anthony Towns just before the half due to an ejection.
And while Utah’s turnover and shooting woes continuing was a bad sign, it was at least good to see them get back in the win column after a discouraging loss to the Houston Rockets earlier in the week. With the bout against the T-Wolves out of the way, the Jazz now face a 10-game stretch of very winnable games, beginning with tonight’s matchup against the Sacramento Kings.

The Kings are one of four teams battling for last place in the Western Conference as they hold a measly record of 19-43. Nevertheless, the Jazz will be playing tonight on the second night of a back-to-back in Sacramento, so this isn’t a contest they can overlook.
If they’re to get back to stringing together another run of consecutive wins by earning a victory tonight, there’s a few specific things that they’ll need to accomplish in this evening’s road bout.
