Luke Babbitt traded back to Heat

TO HEAT: Luke Babbitt. TO HAWKS: Okaro White

Thorpe: Wade wasn’t the only “new” member of the Heat to make a return to his former squad. The Luke Babbit hype is real…

These move give Miami a DEEP rotation of at least 10 players worthy of minutes. Despite a recent slump, Miami continues to outperform its roster. And adding a shooter like Babbit should only help keep Miami in the think of the playoff race.

Aston: Babbitt aside, I feel awful for Okaro White. He’s a guy who went undrafted after a solid, if unspectacular four-year run at Florida State, paid his dues in Europe, the G-League and during summer play and was finally getting a crack at the Association — he even started some games for Miami — then he breaks his foot, gets traded and is waived. I hope he gets another shot down the line.

Padmore: The Heat with another reunion, bringing back sharpshooter Luke Babbitt. I like Okaro White, but he is out with injury, and Babbitt can help Miami right now with his 3-point shooting.

Woodcox:  It sounds like several Heat fans aren’t too high on getting Babbit back. I don’t really blame them. This won’t do a whole lot for either team.

Keeffer: The long-awaited return of Luke Babbitt to the Heat! I think he may actually overshadow Dwayne Wade’s return —
