TMZ caught up with Utah Jazz point guard Dante Exum during NBA All-Star Weekend. Also — Jazz draftee Nigel Williams-Goss led his Euro team to a national cup victory.

For Utah Jazz fans, All-Star Weekend 2018 was all about Donovan Mitchell. For a recap of all his comings and goings, including that Slam Dunk Contest championship, check out my cohort Jared Woodcox’s rundown here on the J-Notes. I’ll say this much about Mitchell’s All-Star experience — despite the massive spotlight shined in his direction, the rookie continued to stand out.

However, Mitchell wasn’t the only Jazz guard to get press over All-Star Weekend; Dante Exum was also in Los Angeles for the action. While he was there, TMZ

ambushed

caught up with him (as they’re wont to do) at the airport.

The exchange was standard fare for this kind of situation. The reporter ignored Jazzman Rudy Gobert, who was with Exum, didn’t appear to know who Joe Ingles was and hit the 22-year-old with a rapid-fire interrogation. Nevertheless, Exum acquitted himself admirably while fielding questions about the rise of Aussie hoops.

Here’s Exum talking about Australian ballers abroad and how his national team stacks up against USA Basketball —

For his part, Exum appears slated for an on-court return this season. Several days ago, Jazz GM Dennis Lindsey said that the team is targeting a mid-to-late March return for the former No. 5 overall pick, provided he continues to meet the benchmarks of his rehab process.

Exum’s team will return to action on Friday, February 23 when they play host to the Portland Trail Blazers.
