Ricky Rubio
A few, short weeks ago, a vocal contingent of Jazz fans were probably willing to sell Ricky Rubio for a bag of magic beans. Despite hope that he would be an impact player and floor leader for Utah, his first half-season with the Jazz was pretty rough.
Now, things couldn’t be more different.
Over his last nine games, Rubio has played stellar basketball. In that span, he’s averaged 16.3 points, 7.6 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game while hitting 49 percent of his shots overall and 48 percent from 3-point range. Along the way, he’s been a key cog in the Jazz’s six-game win streak.
The Jazz have been patient with Rubio all season. Given his recent progress, I see them continuing to play the long game. Unless they receive an offer they can’t refuse, I don’t see Rubio getting moved.
Odds of being dealt: Low
