C. . SG. Utah Jazz. RODNEY HOOD

Overall GPA: 2.40 (C-plus)

Rodney Hood has been out with a leg contusion over Utah’s last five outings.

With the Bulls reportedly shutting Nikola Mirotic down until they found a trade partner, it is becoming increasingly more clear that Utah has the same plan for Hood. While that may be speculation, I wouldn’t be surprised to see him traded within the next week.

Hood is a high-level scorer in the league, however, his success doesn’t seem to translate to wins for the Jazz. If Utah can get more assets to build around Donovan Mitchell and Gobert, Utah should pull the trigger.

Simply put, the experiment to make Hood a primary scoring option on a competitive team was a failure. A fresh start with a new team may be just what Hood needs to finally reach his potential so any trade that shores up Utah’s foundation would be a win-win.
