J.J. Barea, Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks are one of a handful of teams that really don’t feel like great trade partners for the Jazz. Mark Cuban’s team is probably looking to move Wesley Mathews but, at this point in time, particularly if the asking price is a first-round pick, that’s probably not a direction the Jazz should go in.

So if that’s out, and Harrison Barnes and Dennis Smith Jr. are untouchable, let’s go with J.J. Barea! For no other reason than he always seems to light the Jazz up, hit clutch shots against them and/or act as a pest in general every time his teams are on the docket.

So, like the Borg, we’ll just assimilate him into the Collective. Done and done.
