Omri Casspi, Golden State Warriors
The Golden State Warriors are in that group of eight or nine teams that I just don’t see wheeling and dealing with the Jazz. I mean, they’re the Warriors — unless something crazy drops out of the sky, they have no reason to be super active at the deadline. Maybe they’d consider swinging Andre Iguodala for a younger piece? Maybe not.
That said, if I have to identify a potential trade target for Dennis Lindsey that would actually be gettable, Omri Casspi stands out.
Casspi is probably someone who has been on the radar of armchair GMs in Utah for the last half-decade. He’s a smart player, he hustles, he knocks down 3-pointers (37 percent over his career) and can play on the wing or as a small-ball four. He’d be a nice bench piece for the Jazz.
But he’s probably not going anywhere.
