Ricky Rubio has become one of the main scapegoats for Utah’s struggles during the season’s first half. While Rubio has been far from the flashy, playmaking point guard he was advertised to be, his ability to score seems like a direct catalyst to Utah’s ability to win games.

Over Utah’s last ten games, Rubio is averaging 16 points per game in Jazz wins and a measly 7.6 in losses.

Since averaging nearly 16 per game in the opening month of the season, Rubio’s scoring has dramatically fallen off.

After an extremely rough stretch in December, Rubio has seemed to elevate his game to at least a respectable level. While the Rubio signing still may not be looked at fondly by Jazz fans, there is no questioning his ability to change the landscape of a game when his shot is on.

Rubio looked fantastic Wednesday night against the Washington Wizards. If he can find any semblance of his early season form, he may finally find himself in a playoff series.
