I am trying to not be too over-reactionary, but I just really love Ekpe Udoh’s game.

Similar to players like Jerebko and O’Neale, Udoh’s role has been unpredictable, to say the least.

Combine his well-documented ability to defend with his improving offensive game and the Jazz might really have something with the former sixth overall pick.

Udoh finished Wednesday’s game in Washington with a season-high in minutes (34) in relief of Derrick Favors. Udoh made the most of his minutes and ended the night with a stat-filled performance of 16 points, nine rebounds, four steals, two blocks and two assists.

Pretty impressive coming from a guy that I thought would end up on the end of Utah’s bench.

Well said, Kaleb.

Signings like these are the exact reason why Utah’s front office is starting to gain recognition as one of the NBA’s elite organizations.
