After not appearing in a game since October due to tendon instability, Joe Johnson made his return to the Jazz lineup on Friday night in Boston.

The savvy veteran followed up his three-point debut with an eight-point night against Cleveland on Saturday. Johnson has shot a combined 5-of-15 in his two games back.

Those numbers should improve drastically as the 20,000-point Johnson continues to recover from his long absence. He has also made an impact in other areas since his return.

Injuries to Gobert and Favors forced Quin Snyder to play smaller lineups against the Celtics. Johnson’s versatility allowed Snyder to play a variety of different lineups that helped Utah close out a big road win in Boston.
