The Utah Jazz will look to get back to their winning ways after a three-game losing streak when they visit the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday.

After an encouraging stretch that saw the Utah Jazz win seven of eight games, they’ve since come back to earth in a big way, losing three straight contests to the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets and Milwaukee Bucks, respectively. The month of December was always bound to be a tough one and it’s far from getting easier as the Jazz continue a six-game road trip this week.

However, their first stop of the week is far and above the easiest contest they’ll face as they visit the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday. The Bulls have struggled all season long and currently are tied with the Atlanta Hawks for the league’s worst record of 6-20. Oddly enough, though, half of those six wins have come in the last five days as they’ve won three straight over the Charlotte Hornets, New York Knicks and the Kyrie Irving-less Boston Celtics.

With that being the case, it would appear that the Jazz will be taking on the Bulls at just the wrong time — right as they’re starting to heat up.

Therefore, what was originally circled on the calendar as a likely win may actually turn out to be more of a challenge than the Jazz might have originally presumed, especially considering how poorly they’ve played on the road where they’ve posted a record of just 2-9. Fortunately, though, the Jazz are coming into the contest off of three days of rest and leading scorer Rodney Hood is set to be back in the mix, so those should all be encouraging signs for Utah’s chances.

With so many things working in their favor, the Utah Jazz should still be in a very good spot to win Wednesday’s contest so long as they can excel in these three key areas.
