After a much-improved stretch, the Utah Jazz are showing loud and clear that there are still plenty of reasons to be excited about their 2017-18 season.

The 2017-18 NBA season has been full of ups and downs for the Utah Jazz. What began as a season that many presumed would be full of excitement due to some promising new faces quickly turned into one of disappointment as the Jazz lost Dante Exum, Joe Johnson and Rudy Gobert to injury. Largely because of said injuries, Utah recently went through a stretch where they lost seven of eight games.

That was a rough stint that even had several Jazz fans calling for the team to tank. Utah looked absolutely hapless on both ends of the court and they quite frankly struggled to compete at all. However, Utah’s last two performances – a big win over the Chicago Bulls and an impressive victory over the Milwaukee Bucks – certainly has the team looking better and has fans feeling more chipper.

The pair of triumphs led to the Jazz improving to a 9-11 record, good for eighth in the Western Conference. And while there’s certain to be plenty more ups and downs throughout the season (in fact, the Jazz still have a ton to prove before I’m willing to believe that they’re anywhere close to out of the woods or over their downs due to the struggles they’ve exhibited recently), it has been nice to see Utah show significantly more fight.

And with that being the case, there’s certainly a lot to be optimistic about regarding the Jazz. Little by little, they seem to be figuring things out and the early hopes we had of them becoming a playoff team may very well still be the case. As we look at what Utah’s done of late and what lies ahead, here are the three main reasons to still be excited about and to not give up on the Utah Jazz.
