Utah Jazz power ranking round-up: Where do Gobert-less Jazz rank?

West Ranking: 12th

This is where things seem a bit off.

CBS Sports is one of two power rankings listed that has the Lakers ranked above the Jazz. While they sit just one spot ahead at number 22, the Lakers are not a superior team to the Jazz. Even without Gobert, the Jazz should be able to handle their business against a struggling Lakers team.

Los Angeles is one game behind the Jazz in the Western Conference standings and has the same record in the last ten games at 4-6. The Lakers have also lost three in a row.

I would trust a Quin Snyder-led, disciplined and defensive-minded Jazz team over a young and mostly unproven LA squad.
