3) Dominating the Oklahoma City Thunder

In hindsight, you wonder how good Utah’s win over the Oklahoma City Thunder really is given OKC’s early struggles. That said, the fact that they completely outclassed a team led by reigning MVP Russell Westbrook and All-Stars Paul George and Carmelo Anthony remains a highlight of the early season.

The Jazz managed to hold the Thunder to just 87 points in the game; their second lowest total to date. Moreover, the Jazz stymied Billy Donovan’s Big 3 along the way. In particular, they put the clamps down on Westbrook, who missed nine of his 11 field goal attempts and finished with only six points.

Meanwhile, the Jazz had five players reach double figures, led by Joe Ingles, who scored 19 points in the contest and knocked down five 3-pointers in the process.

It was also Joe Johnson’s best game this season. Iso Joe finished with 11 points on 5-of-10 shooting in the game.
